I consider myself blessed to have enjoyed a long and varied career in teaching. I first taught in London for six years, followed by two years at The British School in the Netherlands, where I travelled extensively throughout Europe.

I then returned to England to teach at a ‘Combined’ school in Poole where I became Deputy Head and taught every age group, from Year 1 to Year 7. I was delighted to be appointed to STG nine years ago as I was already familiar with the school.

Although I stepped back from my Deputy Headship when I had a family, I am still passionate about teaching and believe in a creative and questioning approach to the curriculum, and that children should be excited by their learning.

I have two school age children and enjoy painting, tennis, sailing, swimming, cycling, skiing and gardening, so enjoy a full and busy life!
